NURSING ASSISTANT The Nursing Assistant (NA) program prepares students for entry-level employment in health care facilities. Nursing Assistants are an important member of the health care team providing direct care to patients in long-term care settings. All Nursing Assistants function under the supervision of a Licensed Nurse. Programs are approved by the California Department of Health Services. Upon completion of the Nursing Assistant program, the student is eligible to take the state examination for Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) for a fee.
