S. in Environmental Engineering (ENE) grew from the water resources management program at CSU and is designed to prepare students in the engineering aspects of sustaining proper environment related to air, water and solid waste necessary for public health . The program requires learning mathematics, physics, chemistry and microbiology in early years for advanced courses during junior and senior years. Basic engineering science component of the curriculum will be offered through the Manufacturing Engineering (MFE) Department of the University and at the Center. The ENE curriculum at Central State University is unique with courses in water treatment, wastewater treatment, air quality engineering , and soil and water pollution, environmental policy and in many other related aspects of environmental engineering. The program also incorporates advanced technology tools such as Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Remote Sensing.
