The program will last approximately 14 weeks and cadets will participate in 620 hours of training. The accelerated program is typically held 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Friday, and requires some weekend class work. Students wanting the Summer Accelerated Basic Police Academy will have the option to take a physical eligibility pre-test to see if they meet the 40th percentile of the Coopers Standard for fitness.
