Program Student Learning Outcomes At the end of the program, the graduate will be able to: 1. Explain building and fire codes. 2. Discuss the logic and reasoning that is the basis of fire investigation. 3. Describe overall management system of a fire department or fire related industry. 4. Apply the basic principles of chemistry and physics to fire and firefighting. Program Information Students matriculated in the Fire Science Technology degree programs can receive up to 6 credits in co-op for completion of the following certificates: Division of Fire Safety Certificates Fire Fighter I Fire Officer I Division of Forestry Certificate NCGWildland Firefighter S130/S190 Students must present the certificate(s) to the coordinator of the Fire Science Technology Program.
