Pastoral Studies from Calvary Bible College and Theological Seminary is a Campus Bachelor Religious Studies degree that prepares you for a Liberal Arts career. Any man who is divorced may take any or all the courses in the Pastoral Studies Department and may graduate in another major. Continuation in the Program Any incoming male student (with stipulations above) may select Pastoral Studies as his major. However, continuation in the Pastoral Studies Program depends on such factors as grade point average, integrity, character, evidence of ability, call to ministry, punctuality, relational skills, and a maturing walk with Christ. Thus, in conference with the Academic Dean and other faculty/staff members, a student could be encouraged by the Pastoral Studies Program Director to select another major. A grade of C or higher is required in BL232 Greek II and in each succeeding Greek course before taking the next level Greek course and to remain in the major. Purpose To train students for vocational pastoral ministry. Objectives * That the student demonstrate in his life the Christian character qualifications for pastoral ministry. * That the student be able to identify the theology, theories, and skills that characterize biblical orientation for pastoral leaders of today. * That the student effectively preach biblical truths through specialized instruction with an emphasis on biblical exegesis, exposition, and construction and delivery of sermons. * That the student be able to identify the multifaceted responsibilities of pastoral care and learn to respond to those needs biblically and practically with foundational skills.
