Requirements A minimum of 36 unts is required, at least 24 upper-division units, distributed in the following way, with no more than two lower-division courses in any category (12 units total): 1. Required Courses (9 units): CWL 330A and CWL 330B; CWL 361 or 365 2. Area Courses (27 units): Three courses (9 units) from each of the three following groups: A. World Literature: 100, 103, 104, 124, 334, 346, 350, 402, 403, 406, 440, 448 B. Literary Movements and History: 101, 342, 349, 414i, 422i, 430, 431, 432, 435, 437, 438, 449, 461 C. Cultural Studies: 132, 161, 220, 315i, 344, 404, 410, 420, 445, 451i, 452, 453 Foreign Language Requirement: Minimum requirement one year foreign language study. Two yeras recommended. Proficiency may be certified by successful completion of two semesters of college study, or the equivalent.
