The international studies curriculum offers students the opportunity to learn and experience other cultures, customs and ways of doing business. The program is designed to provide students a global perspective and an understanding of the similarities, as well as the differences, between nations and regions of the world. By focusing on the interdisciplinary nature of international studies , CLU requires students to take classes in at least three different disciplines or departments. A foreign language proficiency above the 200-level course is also required in order to give the student an advantage in the professional world. Students are encouraged to participate in Study Abroad and internships. The extensive Study Abroad Program at CLU provides students a chance to get hands-on experience in countries outside of the United States while continuing their academic studies.
