ASE Master Certified instructors Larry McBride and Brad Fisher give their students a thorough overview of the automobile service and repair career field. In addition, the program provides valuable insights into the skills and attitudes that lead to a successful career. The Automotive Technology program provides individuals with a solid foundation of comprehensive skills including automatic transmission & transaxle, manual transmission & transaxle, brakes, electrical/electronic/computerized systems, engine performance, engine repair, suspension & steering, and HVAC (heating, ventilation, & air conditioning). Instruction is augmented with the AutoLAB computer system by LJ Technical Systems. Students will accrue 1080 hours of instruction in the automotive field that count towards an ASE Certification as well as college credit at many post secondary institutions such as Stark State University and University of Northwestern Ohio's Auto-Diesel College.
