Music Dance Theatre from Brigham Young University - Provo is a Campus Bachelor Music degree that prepares you for a Vocational Programs career. The BFA in music dance theatre (MDT) is an interdisciplinary degree offered by the College of Fine Arts and Communications through the cooperative involvement of its School of Music and Department of Theatre and Media Arts and the College of Health and Human Performance's Department of Dance. Major Requirements 1. Live and taped auditions for entrance into the MDT major are held in the January preceding fall registration. Students may begin the MDT major in the fall only. 2. Pass a proficiency examination in each of the three areas at the end of each semester. 3. Complete at least 40 hours in residence at BYU. 4. Any grade below C? in major courses is not acceptable for graduation. Dance technique courses require a grade of B? for advancement to the next level. 5.
