Students will be able teach the art of dance in the secondary schools using principles and concepts set forth by the National Dance Standards and the State Core Curriculum. 3. Students will demonstrate the ability to produce new knowledge and skills in others by facilitating progressive developmental, artistic, cultural, physical, and process oriented experiences in dance. 4. Students will demonstrate a personal philosophy of education grounded in the gospel of Jesus Christ. 5. Students will demonstrate competency in knowledge and understanding of dance in contemporary and past culture, dance history, and philosophy. 6. Students will demonstrate competency in the knowledge of dance and its relationship to the arts, technology, and other disciplines. 7. Students will demonstrate competency in the knowledge of production, dance accompaniment, music, and rhythmic training. 8. Students will demonstrate competent social skills. 9. Students will develop an understanding of, appreciation for, and participation in cultural aspects of dance . 10. Students will demonstrate competency in the knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and kinesiology in relation to movement and dance technique. 11. Students will demonstrate advocacy for the art of dance in public schools, private schools, and the broader community. 12. Students will be able to identify resources for future employment. 13.
