Art Education from Brigham Young University - Laie is a Campus Bachelor Teaching degree that prepares you for a Education career. A general program that focuses on the English language, including its history, structure and related communications skills; and the literature and culture of English-speaking peoples.An art education major requires 41 hours that include 18 hours of design and media core classes, 9 hours of art history and theory, 12 hours of media classes and 2 hours of art education. The art education major should begin the professional education sequence (see School of Education-Basic Certification Requirements) during the sophomore year. Freshman students should begin their studio art training by taking the foundation courses the first year.
