Assessment: Students must pre-qualify before receiving a practical nursing (PN) application by passing the basic assessment test. The purpose of the assessment test is not to preclude entry into the program, but to ensure success upon enrollment. The practical nursing application packet will be mailed to the candidate after meeting the pre-qualification criteria. The test must be completed by May 1 to be considered for Fall Semester and by October 1 to be considered for Spring Semester. The test takes approximately three hours to complete, and competency must be demonstrated in reading, language, math,and aptitude for nursing. No calculators are allowed.
