Students can gain I-CAR Gold Class Points while attending. The program is now fully Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certified in Non Structural Analysis/Damage Repair , Structural Analysis and Damage Repair, Mechanical and Electrical, Plastics and Adhesives, and Painting and Refinishing.This means students are trained on the tasks which the National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation (NATEF) believe to be important. Upon completion of the program, a student may register with NATEF and test for ASE certification.ASE requires two years full-time, hands-on working experience prior to receiving certification. Credit may be given for up to six months of the two-year work experience for relevant formal training. The Auto Collision Repair and Refinishing Program is designed with self-paced modules to accommodate the open-entry/open-exit policy. Classroom discussions are correlated with hands-on experience in the shop under the supervision of skilled, experienced instructors. The program follows the task list of the National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation (NATEF), which ensures that each completing student has learned the important skills needed to be successful upon entering the trade. Employment Outlook: Graduating students have the hands-on training and experience, coupled with I-CAR Gold Class Points and a basic set of tools, necessary to find employment in a wide range of jobs across the nation. Employment after graduation is impressive. The Auto Collision Department places completing students in entry-level jobs directly related to the training received. Entry level is defined as a person who has not previously earned wages on a full-time basis in the industry.
