Counseling Education from Boston University is a Campus Master Counseling and Personnel Services degree that prepares you for a Education career. The Master of Education Program is available to individuals who have completed bachelor's degrees, preferably in the social and behavioral sciences. The minimum requirement for completion of the EdM program is eight courses, a total of 32 semester hours. Coursework includes studies in counseling theory, human development, measurement, cross-cultural perspectives, and supervised practice in counseling . Students specializing in school counseling must follow a 12-month (June-May) program of studies beginning with summer study. This specialization requires 10 courses for a total of 40 semester hours.
