Students perform economic analyses and cost estimates related to design, construction, operations, and maintenance of systems involving building systems infrastructure. 3. Students plan and prepare design, construction and operating documents such as specifications, contracts, change orders, engineering drawings, and construction schedules for building systems. 4. Students select appropriate materials and practices for building construction. 5. Students maintain an understanding of professional practice issues such as procurement of work, bidding versus quality-based selection, and interaction between architects, designers, contractors, and owners. 6.
