Students also have the opportunity to apply to other non- affiliated hospital programs. Acceptance into a clinical program will generally require a 2.75 minimum grade point average. With a B.A in medical technology from Blackburn, graduates may begin work in a laboratory . After three years of experience, graduates may want to specialize in areas such as clinical chemistry, hematology, blood banking, etc. The B.A. degree is also a starting point for supervising or directing a medical technology lab and for teaching medical technology to students.
