Early Childhood/Elementary Education Non-Certification from Anderson University - Anderson is a Campus Bachelor Early Childhood Education degree that prepares you for a Education career. The Bachelor of Science Degree in Early Childhood/Elementary Education evening program is specifically designed for individuals who need the availability of evening classes to meet their educational needs. The curriculum includes an intensive course selection that will focus on teaching methods and techniques used in an early childhood/elementary setting. Included are such skills as managing the classroom, understanding diversity, working with the exceptional child, and creating a positive classroom environment. These courses may be taken as part of pursuing the Bachelor of Science degree in Education or taken as individual courses to satisfy recertification or add-on requirements. We have a five-term course rotation schedule so that all classes will be offered at least once over the course of one year. Some courses will be offered more than once. Graduates of this track may be eligible for employment in a variety of paraprofessional positions in education . In addition, non-certification graduates can become private school teachers, Head Start teachers/administrators, or teachers/directors of daycare centers. Employment with government programs related to education also is a possibility. Non certification students will take everything the certification track student takes, except the 400 level Methods courses, EDU 443, and Student Teaching.
