The Advanced Decision Analysis course provides an introduction to the mathematical foundations of multi-attribute value and utility theory. Topics include structuring objectives, trade-offs under certainty, single dimensional utility theory, multi-attribute preferences under uncertainty, preferences over time, and aggregation of individual preferences and portfolio analysis . The Multi-Criteria Decision Analysis course exposes students to a variety of approaches to the modeling and solution of multiple criteria decision making problems. Topics covered include preference structures, dominance, utility and value functions, analytic and interactive MCDM techniques, plus compromise programming and multi-objective optimization formulations.
